Travel Insurance Quotes

If you’ve travelled before, we're sure you’ve seen that some travel insurance quotes can be misleading. Cheapest is not always the best choice and the policy benefits may not all be included in the quoted price, making your decision very tough.

At Worldcare we believe you can still save dollars and get a quality product and we have tailored our travel insurance to reflect that. We recommend that if you are comparing travel insurance quotes that you look for the following signs of quality before purchasing.

Look at these important indicators:

  • Size and financial backing of the underwriter. You want to ensure they are large enough to handle any claims that come in, especially the big ones.
  • Size and performance of the assistance company. Find out who is going to be providing medical assistance in your times of need and where they are situated to handle your queries. Note whether their offices are worldwide too – you want a global provider.
  • Size and performance of claims administrators. Ideally a local New Zealand team would handle your claim to ensure that it is prompt and managed by people who understand your needs.

At Worldcare we are underwritten by Allianz, one of the world’s largest insurers. Our medical assistance is handled by the world’s leading assistance provider, Allianz Global Assistance, with over 13,000 employees around the world ready to handle over 20 million cases every year. Allianz Global Assistance also have an Auckland claims team dedicated to the New Zealand traveller. All in all, we are supported by businesses that ensure you can head overseas confident in your travel insurance provider.

We may not be the cheapest travel insurance provider out there but we offer quality products at competitive prices with support from the world’s best.

We provide insurance cover to you on the basis that you are a resident of New Zealand, you intend to return to New Zealand after your journey, you will purchase your policy in New Zealand before you start your journey and the start date on your policy reflects the date you leave your residence in New Zealand to start your journey.
